An epic conclusion ladies, gentlemen, bloggers and bookworms! Cinder, Kai, Scarlet, Wolf, Thorne, Cress and Iko offer more adventure than any other book I know! (except from Throne of Glass of course).
Along with Winter and Jacin, who also get their own struggles and emotional moments, the book as a whole is a race against time; everything happens on Luna and Cinder is trying to gather everyone in order to defeat Levana.
I can't get into details because this will spoil you but I can tell some things about the couples.
Cinder and Kai: I like their chemistry. Kai is quite the diplomat, strong enough to sacrifise himself for the good of Earth, while Cinder is the total badass heroine who knows how to plan and act. She feels guilt and fears for everyone's lives.
Scarlet and Wolf: Ok, those two are my most favorite couple. They are forced to stay away from each other and some scenes were quite heart-pounding. I would really root for an extra epilogue about their story because I felt I wanted more...especially after what happened to Wolf.
Cress and Thorne: My dear Captain you are a softie! Seriously, he matures quite in the last book, keeping at the same time the sharp tounge and humor he is known for. Cress deals with quite a lot pressure and her scenes with Thorne are so, SO cute! Well, in the ending scenes I did have a small heart attack, because Levana did something I was sure I couldn't live though the ending, if the incident ended the way I THOUGHT it would end. (If you read the book you know what I mean!)
Winter and Jacin: I was very surprised with Winter. And very proud for her. She lived in a palace prison denying her Lunar gift, losing her mind as a result. Yet, she has a sharp mind, a gentle nature and a very strong love for Jacin. Even if he denies her feelings, because of their social status (stupid Jacin). Knowing their story from "Fairest" I could sympathize with their circumastances and was very glad for the ending they got.
I also came to realize that the roles of the "7 dwarves" in the book were actually the rest of the main characters! If you count in Iko along with the other 3 couples you get seven people who help Winter through almost everything.
Another character I got to love and admire was Iko. The android was the funniest, had a great sense of style and she was always the first to jump into the Lunar wardrobes!
As for Levana? The b*ch got what she deserved and even from Cinder's pitying POV my opinion for her didn't change.
If there is any chance to get another glimpse into the lives of the characters after "Winter" I'd gladly read it! This was one of the best books of 2015!
